Alison van der Molen
| I
qualified in 1980 as a chartered physiotherapist, and worked for the
next fourteen years both in the NHS and in private practice. I have
worked in hospitals, schools for children with special needs, a GP
practice, and latterly in my own practice treating patients with
musculoskeletal complaints such as neck, back, muscle or ligamentous
pain. In 1994, having been interested in osteopathy for some time, I began my osteopathy training. I qualified in 1997, and since that time I have worked using a combination of both physiotherapy and osteopathy. Whilst training as an osteopath an interest in cranial osteopathy was sparked. I have continued to develop this aspect of osteopathy, attending various post-graduate courses run by the Sutherland Cranial College, and a two-year MSc course at the Osteopathic Centre for Children, qualifying in 2007 with an MSc in Paediatric Osteopathy. Since that time, as well as working in my own practice, I have worked as a clinical tutor at the Osteopathic Centre for Children (now known as the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy). |
